Drone Spraying in Specialty Crops Symposium - $50

On Thursday, Dec. 12th from 9am to 4pm, our new Drone Spraying in Specialty Crops Symposium will focus on using drones to apply crop protection materials in fruits and vegetables. Experts from the West Coast, Europe, Local and Industry will discuss current best practice strategies and future needs in vegetables, trees and vines, including panel discussions and ample opportunity for Q&A.

This session is for custom applicators and private growers contemplating applications to specialty crops. Participants will leave with an understanding of the process of integrating drones into their spray program, whether contracted or owned.

Expo registration includes access to all educational sessions that don’t have an additional fee, the full trade show floor including the Farm Market and More Hall and any events happening in those locations. It does not include access to any events that require an additional fee or any meals.

Feel free to select any of the main registration types that best represent your farm. All give equal access to the Expo. If none of them match what you do, we have provided an ‘other’ category. Each different type is matched to a sponsoring organization. For example, if you select the Fruit registration, you will be included in the membership of the Michigan State Horticultural Society for one year. You will also receive a trade magazine complementary for one year that matches the registration type. We also provide a few other registration categories for those who qualify. Qualifications will be verified.

Yes! The Expo has recently implemented a scholarship program for those who cannot afford the full cost of registration. There is a scholarship application where you can tell us a little about yourself, your farm, and explain your financial need. The scholarship covers the full cost for one person.

Applications are due by October 31. See the scholarship page for more details.

While the Expo does not provide meals for our attendees, we have made arrangements to have various items available for you to purchase. There will be a concession stand open during lunch in the front of the trade show. Also, there will be two food trucks in the trade show. There are many industry luncheons as well. Grand Rapids also has several restaurants in close walking distance.

If you need a hotel room, head over to our lodging page to choose from one of five hotels that offer Expo-negotiated discounts. If you are driving in each day, check out the parking page. You can find a convenient lot for just a few dollars per day!
